● Computer Network Laboratory

      Embracing the doctrine of cultivating the Internationalized, the Application Oriented and Personalized Talents, the lab provides plush lab surroundings and practice opportunities to foster the comprehensive talents featuring both higher theoretical levels and b application level since computer network plays a significant role in modern society.

      The lab put in place 1 year ago, is the resource shared by NLEC and diploma education. Altogether there are 161 computers for lab use and 10 servers linking to the campus network which allow the lab to use the broadcasting teaching. The high practicing ability enables the students to combine the theories with the practices to deepen their understanding of the knowledge learned in classes by enhancing their interests in computer networks. In the lab, the students will not only be able to grasp the skills of dividing the networks and organizing the networks and be familiar with it, but also have good command of the network commands and the configuration skills as well as applying the network programming and grasping the knowledge of the network security which turn them to be a versatile network administrator.

      The lab offers every student the chance to operate in order to expose them to the deeper working of the network. Moreover, the lab also plays an important role in many aspects like teaching, research and training in the computer department.

● The lab For the Constitution Principle of the Computer

      The Constitution Principle of The Computer is an application oriented course which weights heavily in teaching. The lab developed under the IIT’s own power has the following features:

       1. In compliance with the Teaching schemes

       IIT is a new software institute concerned with features such as the teaching programs, the curriculum schemes and teaching approaches. The Lab course is a vital stage in the science major embodying the IIT features. Directed at the feature, the Lab is fully in compliance with it via its versatility and the orientation featuring the ease of use and the visual effects.

       2. Featuring the IIT

       The lab is branded with the IIT mark and became part of the copyright which adds up to the total invisible asset. By using the independently developed lab, the students will be able to cast deeper insights into the internal principles of the computer and improving the independent developing ability and the redeveloping capability. Confirming to the 1321 mode, the lab is taken as the teaching sample in the intern semester to enable students to dissect problems in detail and analyze independently the problems. Moreover, the corresponding software of the lab equipment can also be referred as the instances for the students.

       The series of elementary courses for hardware knowledge is naturally required in the process of fostering quality software engineers in such a newly built software institute and in turn the relevant labs need to be established. The lab provides the students not only with the practicing field but also a convenient field for the faculty to be trained in computer skills and commercial management skills.

● E-commerce Laboratory

    To conform to the requirement of Modernization Oriented, Globe Oriented and Future Oriented and based on the principle of fostering 21stcentury oriented high-tech talents, the faculty established the foundation of E-commerce lab featuring the providence, the openness and the application orientation aiming at fostering the compound talents with technological backgrounds and the knowledge of the management of modern enterprise.

       During construction, the faculty combined the contemporarily authoritative certification with the cutting edge courses by introducing a series of simulated OS like E-commerce, international trade, logistics and ERP by which the students will be able to build business websites, experience E-commerce certification, E-commerce logistics and the streams in B to C, B to C, C to C and G to B and become real operators.

       The network lab sets up a platform for the students’ performances and embodies the characters of IIT by unleashing the students from the time and space limits to travel globally in the E net facing a more diverse multilevel world. The network is open to you and you are not prohibited from becoming a CEO, CFO and organizing your own teams or enterprise only if you have the ambition. The boring and complicated knowledge and theories come back to life since the lab is not only the knowledge melting pot but also a drilling field for the students to maneuver before entering society.

       The top class lab equipment, modernized software environment and the guidance from the senior instructors constitute the features of the labs which is playing an vital role in teaching, research and training.

● The SUN New R&D Center

       The SUN New R&D Center joint ventured by SUN, the globally prestigious IT firm, and IIT at a cost of $690,000 is the open lab for SUN’s new technologies through which the IIT verifies the concepts, demonstrates new technologies and new systems, develops new technology training and various other solutions and the transplantations. Especially in fields as telecommunication, social security, energy and manufacturing, the professional R&D advantages of the center can be used to satisfy the pressing needs of professional clients. The Solaris platform constitutes enterprise level servers, 2 hard disk arrays and 24 SCSI hard disks and supports 20 standard terminal services with the internet access via the local network. It provides powerful technological support to the faculty R&D and teaching work. The whole set of hardware for ERP and CRM solutions are also to be seen in the system which is exposed to the students who can access the SUN Solaris platform to study the newest technologies like SUN E-commerce solutions, JAVA and so on.
