On October 15nd, 2002, the groundbreaking ceremony of Chengdu Neusoft Institute of Information Technology was held at the foot of Mt Qingcheng in Dujiangyan City of Sichuan Province. 600 freshmen entered into Neusoft IIT (Chengdu) from many parts of China.      Since marching into the IT field with its partners in June, 2000, Neusoft invested to establish three institute in Dalian, Nanhai and Chengdu, one after another. The completion of Chengdu Neusoft IIT signs the establishment of education mode of “three campuses interact and share resources” and it is also a significant act in supporting the information construction of Western China by investing in IT education. The development of the institute will send excellent and practical talents to western China continuously and provide the strong talent support for Sichuan Province to become a “ Western Silicon Valley”.

    It is said that the number of the graduates of the three IT institute has reached 9000, and with the employment rate among the 183 top-up program student is 92%. Employers include famous transnational enterprises such as GE, IBM, ALPINE Electric, ALPS Logistics, Panasonic, Kawasaki heavy industries ltd and well-known domestic companies as CNC, TCL, China Bank, Tianjin Taida Co., ltd and China Aerospace Corp.

    Neusoft initiated the specialized and interactive school running pattern in the country and has been called “chain education”. The three institutes are identical in education philosophy, talent training pattern and operating system and share the education resource of teachers, courses and courseware. The aim is to exceed the traditional education pattern to cultivate large quantities of practical talents with a series of innovation. The rapid development of the institute arose the extensive attention of national leaders and various circle of the society.     The expected investment of Chengdu Neusoft IIT is RMB50 million and the whole project is divided into three stages. The first stage has been completed at present can accommodate 3000 students. It plans to increase the number of students to 6000 and provide the western enterprised with training service.
