ALPS Group Scholarship help Neusoft¡¯s students
 
 
 

     On November 6th, 2002, the Signing Ceremony and the Initial Prize-awarding Ceremony on ¡°ALPS Group Scholarship¡± which was set up by ALPS Group in Neusoft IIT was held in the world reporting hall. The delegation of ALPS Group lead by Mr. Masataka Kataoka, President of ALPS Electric, as well as some managers from Dalian Alps Electric Co., ltd came to the institute to participate in the ceremony. Dr. Liu Jiren, Chairman and President of Neusoft Group, Yang Jianguo and Zhang Wei, Vice President of Neusoft IIT attended the ceremony. Neusoft¡¯s first 20 awarding-winning students obtained the ¡°ALPS Group Scholarship¡± certificate and RMB 8000 granted by Mr. Masataka Kataoka, in person.

    Japan ALPS Group is a global enterprise taking the three companies of ALPS Electric, ALPS Logistics and ALPINE as the key pillar. It has 94 subsidairy enterprises and 17 relevant enterprises in 20 countries all over the world. ALPS Group launched its business in China in 1984, it is one of the earliest transnational enterprises which entered the Chinese market. It is devoted to producing comprehensive electronic units for the multimedia equipment and systems, the auto audio appliances and navigation system of the automobile as well as the research of mobile multimedia, and offers systematic logistics services for electronic unit products. China has already had more than 20 sites producing and selling its products and has set up a complete production and marketing network.

    In 1991, ALPS cooperated with Northeastern University and established Shenyang Neusoft Software Co. ltd. It¡¯s China¡¯s first software company listed in Chinese stock market. ALPS Group was the strategic partner of the Neusoft Group for many years and both sides have a good and close relationship. The scholarship was set up to express ALPS¡¯s appreciation for Dalian¡¯s government support of the ALPS Group and Mr. Masataka Kataoka£¬President of the ALPS Electric was awarded the title of ¡°Honorary Citizen of Dalian¡±. The decision of setting up scholarship in Neusoft IIT aims to encourage its students who have good character and fine scholarship to become more competitive so as to contribute to the development of China¡¯s IT industry.

    ¡°ALPS Group Scholarship¡± is the first enterprise scholarship project in the history of Neusoft IIT and it¡¯s very significant in the institute¡¯s process. It not only played a very positive role in promoting the construction of the style of study, encouraging and conducting students but also reflected the fruit of training high-quality personnel. The institute attracted transnational enterprises¡¯ attention and support. Excellent talents of the institute has become a target resource for trans-corporation and the institute¡¯s brand effect has been more and more obvious day by day.
The establishment of ¡°ALPS Group Scholarship¡± expressed not only ALPS¡¯s respect to talents and ¡°People First¡± culture, but also Mr. Masataka Kataoka¡¯s love and sincere support of Dalian¡¯s IT undertaking as an honorary citizen. It has been a tie of beautiful emotion between the group and the people of Dalian. As Neusoft¡¯s first scholarship donated by enterprise, its birth will become a dazzling navigation mark for Dalian¡¯s Japan-oriented software cooperation.

    It was said that many famous domestic and overseas companies had expressed their intent of setting up scholarship and cultivating customized talents in the Neusoft IIT, and some of the co-operations have been started. We firmly believe that Neusoft¡¯s internationalized, pragmatic and individualized IT talents will offer a qualified and efficient human resource guarantee to the development of China¡¯s IT companies.

    On the evening of October 6th, the banquet for the establishment of the ALPS Group Scholarship was held in the Shangri-La hotel. Mr. Masataka Kataoka, President of the ALPS Electric and other Japanese representatives, accompanied by Liu Jiren, Chairman of Neusoft IIT, gathered at the banquet together with the award-winning students. These student¡¯s performances in dance, piano and singing, received unanimous favorable comments from our Japanese friends..
